The line...
How does one know when they have crossed the line between liking someone and loving someone?

Are you sure that a line is the best metaphor here?
@SirNickDon - I'm not sure. I've never been in love. What metaphor do you think is more appropriate?
Omg, I have no idea...That is actually what I've been trying to figure out for quite a while now...
@Mac_Libureet - It's a really uncertain thing. Especially since I've never been in love before.
@Pieces_of_a_Melody - Well, the only thing i've come up with is looking at Corinthians 13: 4-7. If you truly are willing to be patient, kind, unselfish, putting the other person first, and whatever else it says then I think you are either approaching love or maybe at love...
@Mac_Libureet - Yeah, I've been thinking about those verses a lot.
It's one of those things that for me, I think that it's really hard to properly articulate, but one that I can generally just 'know'...I know, so not helpful
But definitely check out 1 Corinthians 13 as well.
@Pieces_of_a_Melody - Cos looking at them and pondering your question I'm thinking maybe it's like if you need the person, but love if you are willing to do what's best for them even let them go...
I'm not sure I know that myself LOL...is it about the same good ol' best friend? *grin*
@starrynite45 - What do you think?
@Pieces_of_a_Melody - haha, I guess I am right :P
I think its probably when you start to feed their dog pork...
Or it could be completely unrelated to that in which case I'm not a good person to ask...
@mrcolorful -
the answer to this question is simple.
when you like someone, they are great to be around, you would make plans with that person and occasionaly have them in your thoughts when going to parties or get togethers, this "line" is crossed into the love sector when you get that stupid pain in the chest, a yearning to be with that person because that person is no longer an occasional thought but one that is the first person you think of as you wake up, the last person you think of before you go to sleep and the only person you dream of while sleeping.
-i know believe me.....im still in the process of trying to get rid of this feeling......but sadly love is not something that can be so easily redirected :(
now i have a question.....
what do you do to forget about a person that you love, but cant have?
@Wing_zero21 - That is a good way of putting it... and I think I might have to agree.
That is a good question. A hard question, at that. It would be hard for me to answer, because I've never been in love before. But if I were to venture a guess... I would say it is probably nearly impossible to forget, until you find someone new to love. But the challenge in this is, how can you love someone else when all you think about is the other person? *sighs* I wish I had answers for you.
@Pieces_of_a_Melody - lol its ok, i didnt expect anyone to have an answer :)
